Yes. Many insurance companies reimburse a significant portion of the cost of psychotherapy. For insurance purposes, I am considered an out-of-network provider.
It is best to determine the exact details of your policy ahead of time, including what benefits are available regarding out-of-network providers (and if your insurance will reimburse several hours of therapy in one day or one week if doing intensives). I can also provide you with a Superbill receipt for all direct contact therapy services as requested.

Trauma-integrated approaches like EMDR, IFS, Somatic, and Ketamine work with people in a way that traditional skill-based talk therapies (like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) cannot. In trauma therapy we are able to address the core emotions involved and process through them at the root level. This allows people to safely move through the emotion and process through their experiences in a healthy way. After treatment people often express feeling “lighter” and more free to approach life situations without the negative charged emotions that were triggering them in the past. Feeling integrated allows for increased perspective, purpose, and meaning-making that better aligns with the person’s values.

Trauma therapy done properly by a trained trauma professional will not overwhelm you. Trauma therapists are trained in a trauma-informed approach that highlight sensitivity and regulation in our approach to trauma treatment. Difficult feelings may come up at times when you are ready to process them, but not in a forced or retraumatizing manner.
