About Yossi
Yossi Hacker, RCSWI, EMDR, C-PTSD and Addiction Specialist
If you are reading this you or someone you love may be struggling with emotions that feel unpredictable, intense or exhausting. Many of my clients coming are coming into therapy managing addictions, untreated ADHD, or unresolved self esteem issues from the impacts of childhood or relational trauma. These struggles can leave you feeling stuck, frustrated, or unsure how to move forward.
My role is to guide you as we make sense of what you are feeling, rebuild your confidence, and develop the emotional resilience to feel steady and in control of your life again.
I specialize in helping adults and teen males who have lived with complex trauma and chronic emotional challenges. Using EMDR Therapy, IFS, and Psychodynamic Therapy I guide clients in understanding the deeper patterns and experiences that shape their reactions, behaviors and relationships. When helpful I also draw from Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP for OCD) to support emotional healing from multiple angles.
Therapy with me is not only about reducing symptoms. It is about helping you build a deeper sense of clarity, calm and inner strength. I work hard to create a space where you can speak honestly without fear of being judged. Together we explore what you carry emotionally, uncover the roots of your struggles, and build healthier ways of coping so you can feel more in control of your life and relationships.
Over the years I have supported both teens and adults in clinical and educational settings, including my work as Dean of Admissions and Counselor at Talmudic University. This experience has given me a close understanding of the challenges men face in school, family life, work, and personal growth - especially when trauma or emotional pain is part of their story.
My approach is warm, practical, and grounded in real human connection. I tailor each session to you as an individual meeting you where you are and helping you move toward a life that feels more balanced, meaningful and emotionally secure.
