Healing Trust Issues. Where Do They Begin?

The Formation of Trust Issues

As children, we are born with our true thoughts and feelings intact.

As we grow older, our family, friends, and community guide us about what is ok and not ok to act and feel.

We may unconsciously begin to deny parts of our true selves to be accepted as part of the greater group

We sacrifice authenticity - and develop an inner confusion about who we are and what we want and feel.

This creates a distrust with our true self.

The Core Question

If we can't trust ourselves, how can I trust that others are being true to themselves? How can I feel safe to trust others?

Beginning to Trust Ourselves

Healing our trust issues starts with honoring our true self.

When we connect to our true wants, needs, and feelings, we begin to trust ourselves and open ourselves up to trusting others.

The healing process requires us to be honest with ourselves so we can feel that trust inside and out.
